In Massage Mattress New Day Gallery hosts new works by artists Tom Esam, Alexander Weiss, Egon Thuile, Paul Ferens, Raoul Zoellner, and Charles Benjamin, alongside a collection of non-works; random and not-so-random objects which were either found, borrowed, stolen or bought. A sofa is a piece, a door is a painting, a painting is a carpet, a pink semi-monochrome is a shutterstock image, and a mattress is an ortographical mistake taken too far. At best highlighting massage and intention, at worst exposing the sad limitations of objecthood. Either wedging apart, or further blurring boarders between the massage mattress and the massage that mattress.
